The Lytro Camera is a new camera advancement that allows you to transform your pictures into “living pictures.” Instead of measuring pictures in megapixel, the Lytro Camera measure pictures in “megarays” (which is the equivalency to 22 megapixels). You are probably questioning how this “magical” camera is able to produce lively pictures. Well, the simple camera has only two buttons, one for power and the other for shutter. By just simply taking a picture of your desired object, the image will automatically be saved into a branded file format. You can manipulate your image such as changing the focus on your computer just like any raw file right after the picture has already been taken! However, the camera is only compatible with MACs (a Windows version is still in development). Currently the 8G camera is priced at $400 (stores up to 350 photos) and the 16G is priced at $500 (stores up to 750 photos). The Lytro Cameras are available for pre-order but will not ship until early 2012. I myself would definitely like to see how this “magical camera” produces “living pictures.
