Years ago, halloween was reffered to as All Hallows Eve. It was mostly for Wiccans. It was their day to celebrate. Now everyone uses this as a holiday to dress up and go out to stranger's or friend's houses for candy. It used to be safe to go around and knock on people's doors, but now you have watch out for crazy people taking children, checking candy to make sure there is nothing wrong with it, etc. This used to be a day for fun and excitement. People can dress up, carve pumpkins and eat your weight in candy. The costumes used to be presentable, now they are all about showing off skin. It should go back to the way it was, but its not going to happen until people learn better.
