Red Sox to have second interview with Sveum

The Red Sox have had interviews with several potential replacements for their manager position, but it appears that Dale Sveum will be the first to have a second interview. The Red Sox will reportedly be meeting with Sveum again sometime this week for their next meeting. It is unknown if this means that Sveum is the frontrunner in the Red Sox manager race, or if interviews with others are to follow. If Sveum does manage the Red Sox, it is expected that his style of managing would be quite different than former manager Terry Francona’s, with perhaps stricter rules for the teams controversial club house behavior. Even if Sveum does not become the new manager for the Red Sox, GM Ben Cherington has said that they are aiming to have somebody in place by Thanksgiving.
